Ginger Beef
Recipe
Ingredients
| Grade A Beef |
3/4 lb. |
| Egg |
1/2 egg |
| Salt |
1/4 teaspoon |
| Corn Starch |
4 teaspoon |
| Water |
3 oz. + 1 oz. |
| Vegatable Oil |
1/2 wok full (for deep fry) |
| Green Onion |
10 pieces (2 inches in length) |
| Meat Broth |
2 oz. (for sauce) |
| Pepper Seed |
1 teaspoon |
| Fresh Ground Garlic |
1 teaspoon |
| Shredded Ginger |
10 pieces |
| Sugar |
3 oz. |
| Shredded Carrot |
15 pieces |
| Sesame Oil |
1/4 teaspoon |
| Soya Sauce |
1/4 oz. |
Marinating Procedure
- Mix shredded beef with 1/4 egg and
1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Add corn starch, 3 oz. water, 1/4
teaspoon vegetable oil - mix well.
- Marinate for at least 1 hr. in
cooler.
- Add 1/4 egg and 1 oz. water - mix
well.
Deep Fry Procedure
- Deep fry marinated beef in vegetable
oil at 350 degrees F. for 40 seconds. (Stir well)
- Transfer quickly to 450 degrees F.
vegetable oil, add carrot. After 20 seconds, take out and leave
for further cooking.
Sauce Preparation
- Heat up wok with a little bit of
oil.
- Add ginger, green onion, pepper
seed, and fresh garlic.
- Add 2 oz. meat broth, 3 oz. sugar,
1/4 oz. soya sauce, and stir well for 20 seconds.
Cooking Procedure
- Add in the deep fried beef into
sauce.
- Stir well, add sesame oil.
- Remove from heat and
serve!
